For Peace of Mind

From the publisher's desk

Who would have believed we would be here five years on and with eight issues of the magazine under our belt. I'm delighted with this issue as it has some beautiful articles and imagery; overall it just has a lovely feel to it. Butterfly releases, what a truly beautiful way to say good-bye!! Or in keeping with flight, what about Aerial Burials, free spirits in life can now be free spirits in death, with their ashes scattered in the skies.

Going Naturally discusses ways to use natural treatments to assist during illness, aging and when grieving. My personal favourite in this issue is the “ Letters to God ” on pages 50 - 52. I guarantee they will bring a smile to your dial.

Naturally we still have all the regular articles on religion, legal issues, financial matters and the very important golf and travel articles. I can't tell you how much mail we get back on the golf and travel articles. I would like to remind you however that if there is something you would like us to explore for you please do not hesitate to write in and tell us.

On a personal note I would like to introduce you to our new editor Jay M. Miraant! JM has been in and around this industry for many years and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Enjoy his first issue and if you have any negative comments make sure you address them to the editor, as it will be his fault!!!

Finally may I take this opportunity to wish you a healthy, happy and prosperous 2006.

Remember, you can never be too young nor too old to plan ahead and have some Peace of Mind.

From the Editor

It is with great pride that I have accepted the role of Editor for this innovative publication. I have been an avid reader since day one and I look forward to continuing to produce a quality publication that is informative and entertaining and presents the issues that you the reader want to see in an enlightening and picturesque format.

The growth of ‘For Peace of Mind’ has coincided with a new found openness in the general community to discuss the issues, which effect Seniors. As the population in Australia ages, so it is right that businesses and the community in general offer specialised programs for this key market. The willingness to discuss the formerly taboo subject of planning for your funeral has been opened the doors to a myriad of options. It is right that everyone should think about how the are to be remembered, not just at the funeral but forever after; an issue we delve into in this edition.

I hope you enjoy the read and I welcome your feedback and requests for future editions.
